What is SMC

SMC structure
SMC composite molding sheet or consumers can call composite material, SMC composite molding sheet, with the formula to create the material is a synthesis of two or more different materials, creating a new material, with properties that are superior to the original materials, or in other words, it includes most of the features of the old material, when the old materials work separately together at the same time due to the connection to create many better features.
Advantages of SMC molding sheet
The greatest advantage of SMC is its ability to change geometric structure, distribution, and component materials to create a new material with desired strength. Many stringent demands of modern engineering (such as being lightweight and able to withstand temperatures up to 3000°C) can only be met by SMC, making SMC composite panels a key player in the revolution of new materials.
The advantages of SMC composite panels are summarized below:
- Low density, high mechanical strength, good rigidity, and tensile strength.
- Weather resistance, aging resistance, high UV resistance, good electrical insulation, and thermal insulation.
- High chemical resistance and corrosion resistance, low maintenance costs, and no need for anti-corrosion coatings.
Disadvantages of SMC molded panels

Complexity in analyzing the mechanical, physical, and chemical properties of the samples.
